Dakar airport fees: what is inside your ticket
At Dakar's Blaise Diagne International Airport you do not pay airport fees in cash. They are built into your air ticket. They include a US$12 security fee on arrival and on departure, created by decree in 2011 to pay for the passenger identity control system, and an airport infrastructure development charge. The relevant systems contract term ended on 11 January 2026. A press report in May 2026 said passengers still pay the US$12 fee, but we have found no official notice on what happens to it now.
