Zanzibar airport fees: what you pay at ZNZ

Zanzibar sets its own departure charges, collected by the Zanzibar Revenue Authority. An international departure carries an airport service charge of US$40 and a safety fee listed at US$9. Domestic departures pay TSh 10,000, a TSh 3,000 safety fee and a TSh 2,000 infrastructure fee. Every foreign visitor must buy a US$44 Zanzibar travel insurance policy, in force since 1 October 2024. Tanzania's US$45 passenger facilitation fee may apply too, but no source named Zanzibar.
