Hurghada airport fees: what you pay at HRG

Travellers leaving Hurghada pay Egypt's state departure fee of EGP 100. Before Law No. 148 of 2026, foreigners leaving Red Sea resorts paid a lower EGP 50, but the new law sets one rate. Airport charges sit in the airline fare. A 2019 Civil Aviation Ministry decision set US$25 per international departure and a US$2 security charge. International tickets carry a ticket tax of up to EGP 150 in economy. The airport and ticket tax figures are old and could not be confirmed.
